LYNN SCHROEDER BMW RIDING WEEK ENDS
PALMS WILDERNESS in conjunction with Lynn Schroeder BMW, George will be hosting BMW riding week ends.
April to August is less appreciated months on the Garden Route and yet some of the most spectacular months. Gone is the rain (hopefully) & wind – the best weather for biking has arrived – sun, sun and more sun!!
Join us for a fun-filled week end at the Palms Wilderness. Cozy welcoming accommodation, scrumptious breakfasts, riding a BMW in the most beautiful area with mountain passes and spectacular scenery, return in the afternoons to sundowners on the beach and end the day with a gastronomic experience in our restaurant, together with South African wines from our cellar, superb atmosphere and unforgettable service.
Arrive on Friday afternoon.
Check in and relax in the gardens or take a stroll along our beautiful beach. Meet the other riders for sundowners and discuss the itinerary for the following day. Dinner is served at 20h00.
Saturday morning breakfast is served between 7h00 and 7h45.
Depart 8h00 from Palms Wilderness, through George onto the Outeniqua Pass towards Oudtshoorn. From Oudtshoorn to de Rust, through the canyon of the Meiringspoort towards Prince Albert. Stop in this small historical village, stroll around and enjoy lunch (for your own account). Meet the other riders after lunch and depart for the ride over the spectacular Swartberg Pass. Definitely one of the most adventurous rides in the area. Over the pass, through Oudtshoorn and back to George via the Montagu Pass OR the Outeniqua Pass. Arrive back at the Palms late afternoon. Meet for pre-dinner drinks and discuss the next day’s itinerary. Dinner is served at 20h00.
Sunday morning breakfast is served between 7h00 & 7h45.
Depart 8h00 from Palms Wilderness, through Kaaimans Pass towards Mosselbay. Turn off towards Herbertdale, over the du Plessis Pass & Cloete Pass towards van Wyksdorp. Stop here for a pit stop and continue onto the Rooiberg Pass. Yet again another spectacular mountain pass. Descend into Caltizdorp for lunch (own account). Riders meet after lunch, depart along the route 62, Robinson Pass, back towards Mosselbay and Wilderness. Arrive back at the Palms late afternoon. Meet for pre-dinner drinks. Dinner is served at 20h00.
Monday morning breakfast is served between 8h00 & 10h00. Check out by 11h00.
Riders can arrive with their own bikes OR fly into George airport. Palms Wilderness will collect you from the airport and transfer you to Lynn Schroeder BMW, George to collect your BMW rental. All rental arrangements are done directly with Lynn Schroeder BMW.

RATES FOR THE WEEK END include 3 nights accommodation (Fri,Sat,Sun) on a shared basis in a double room with en suite facilities, breakfast (Sat,Sun, Mon) and dinner (Fri,Sat,Sun) as well as all pre-dinner drinks.
R650 per person per day sharing x 3 nights = R1950 per person sharing. Single supplement PLUS R200 per day.
Rates EXCLUDE – all extras and drinks not quoted, lunch, fuel & bike rentals.
Rates for BMW bike rentals can be obtained from Lynn Schroeder BMW. Lynn Schroeder BMW will supply all roadside assistance.
Please note that we will only have a limited amount of bikes per week end to ensure a small, comfortable riding group.
